My philosophy comes from the "wisdom book" of Proverbs, and is based on Christian principles that put God at the forefront of every decision made.

As a standard best practice, leaders should never expect followers to do more than they do. Leaders go first, followers imitate. Jesus led by example (John 13:15)

I have found this to be so true through my 40 years of being a Director of Operations for Restaurants, owner of numerous businesses, and in Ministry itself.

Knowing the personal giftings of each member of a team is very crucial. Why? Because when a team member believes that his or her position is fulfilling or moving toward a personal vision, the business will have a joyful and fruitful employee. One that helps the business move forward.

Through all my experiences with ministry and as a business owner, I have found that "Prayer" is the key ingredient in bonding people together, keeping values high, forming trust within the group, and seeing results - both personal as well as a team.

True Meaning of Workplace Success

As a business owner, I come under the truth of the Word and the necessity of prayer.

“Now I’m turning you over to God, our marvelous God who’s gracious Word can make you into what He wants you to be and give you everything you could possibly need in this community of holy friends.”

Acts 20:32

5 Truths for Our Work Being Our Worship

  1. Belief in the reality of God who has spoken, making the word of God the basis of our understanding and action.
  2. Therefore, operate by faith in the Word of God, knowing life in the workplace is just as spiritual as the time we spend in worship.
  3. The result is, having confidence in God’s calling and His gifting’s, that makes for one meaning.
  4. So, God is glorified in the workplace.
  5. Resulting in, success being measured by faithfulness to Christ, following him in obedience.

Nothing that happens on earth can ever change the Word of God.
“Heaven and earth will disappear, but My Words will never disappear”.

Mark 13:31

5 Myths When Missing God as Our Pilot

  1. Belief in self – it is all about me!
  2. Therefore, we operate from one’s limited perspective.
  3. The result is, self-confidence with arrogance leading you.
  4. So, the workplace centers on man’s achievements alone.
  5. Resulting in, success being measured by pride in material wealth.

The bottom line for a Christ-Centered business is eternal.    (1 Cor. 3:13-15)

The ultimate purpose of a Christ-centered business is the same as for a Christian individual:
“to make disciples of all nations”  (Matt. 28:19)

Jesus leads us through the presence and voice of the Holy Spirit in our lives.  We need to pray before all things.  (Exodus 33:15)

A need to find other business people for counsel with good Christian values and great boundaries.  (Proverbs 11:14)
