Devotions - Prayer
1 Thess. 4: 7 God has called us to live holy lives, not impure lives.
*One must understand that sex is good under the covenant of marriage.
Live holy lives not impure lives. To Reject living holy– means rejecting God.
*God gave us his Holy Spirit and the power through His Spirit so believers can live holy lives.
I need to remember always to allow the Holy Spirit to have control over my life and reject the impurity of sin especially impure thoughts.
For the root of impure thoughts comes from the heart and influence my actions.
2 Timothy 2:22 Run from anything that stimulates youthful lusts. Instead, pursue righteous living, faithfulness, love, and peace. Enjoy the companionship of those who call on the Lord with pure hearts.
*You once lived a life you don’t want to go back too. You accepted Jesus, the Lord almighty, as your Savior. Don’t go back too your old ways.
Our purity will determine the extent to which God will use us and demonstrate His power in us.
Those who truly love God will seek to obey him, which is really what purity is.
Holiness is not the absence of sin, but the presence of God in your life.
Impurity has both long term and short term effects, especially if we continue to let it linger in our lives, and God isn’t happy with that.
2 Timothy 2:22 Run from anything that stimulates youthful lusts. Instead, pursue righteous living, faithfulness, love, and peace. Enjoy the companionship of those who call on the Lord with pure hearts.
*If we are slaves to sin, we will never be free. Jesus’ standard is the one to live up to.
We must proclaim God’s holiness on earth, just as it is proclaimed in heaven.
*Holiness Is A Choice, Your Choice
We live in an environment that is driven by sex, money and power!! That’s a problem
Ephesians 5:3 Let there be no sexual immorality, impurity, or greed among you. Such sins have no place among God’s people.
* Lust produces bad sex, because it denies Relationship.
*Lust turns the other person into an object, a thing, a non-person.
***Jesus condemned lust because it cheapened sex; it made sex less that it was created to be.
God is most glorified in us when we are most satisfied in Him.
Father, Grant me power to reject impurity and not just in actions, but thoughts too. I choose right now to reject an impure life and ask by faith that the Holy Spirit would take control of my life so I would honor you as holy before all men. Thank You for all your gifts. In Jesus name – Amen
Read More“I will live in the house of the Lord forever” (Psalm 23:6b).
Someday your body is going to die, but you aren’t!
Your body is going to end, but that’s not going to be the end of you. You’re going to live forever in one of two places: Heaven or Hell. They’re both real places. Your body is going to die, but you’re not going to die, because you were made to last forever.
How long is forever going to last? Forever!
Why should Christians be the most confident about the future?
“Therefore we are always confident and know that as long as we are at home in the body we are away from the Lord. We are confident, I say, and would prefer to be away from the body and at home with the Lord”(2 Corinthians 5:6, 8).
You’re not ready to live until you’re ready to die. You don’t know how to live until you’re ready to die. Only a fool would go through life totally unprepared for something that everybody knows is inevitable. Read Romans 1:18-22
You’re going to die someday. If you’ve accepted Christ, then you’re going to go to Heaven. You’ll be released from pain, from sorrow, from suffering, from depression, from fear. “He’ll wipe every tear from their eyes. Death is gone for good — tears gone, crying gone, pain gone — all the first order of things gone” (Revelation 21:4).
For Christians, death is a transfer, a promotion. It’s on to better things and no more problems. Amen
Death: Luke 16:19-31 Choices. All of us have.
The same choices to make. Lazarus(Luke 23:43). The Rich Man. We can Choice Christ or we can live for ourselves with no hope for the future. Jude 24-25 too.
Read More“Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth” (Matthew 5:5 NIV).
If you want to make healthy choices to be well and whole again, you have to learn to be meek. Matthew 5:5 says, “Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth” (NIV).
The Bible lists many benefits of meekness: The meek will be satisfied (Psalm 22:26); God will guide them (Psalm 25:9); they will become wise (Proverbs 11:2); they will be filled with fresh joy (Isaiah 29:19).
There are many, many others. The problem is, we misunderstand this term. None of us really know what meekness is. In fact we often confuse it with another term that sounds like it — “meek” sounds like “weak.” Nobody wants to be weak, so nobody wants to be meek.
But the truth is meekness and weakness are at the opposite ends of the spectrum.
Meekness is in no way weakness. In fact, the Greek word for meekness literally means “strength under control.” To be meek is not to be weak. It’s used to describe a wild stallion that has been tamed. That stallion still has all the strength it had when it was wild, but now its strength is under control. It is strength bottled up for the master’s use.
God doesn’t want you to be weak, but he does want you to be meek. The Bible teaches that it’s one of the keys to stress reduction in your life.
Here’s a simple definition of the word meek: Let go, and let God.
That is the essence of meekness. It is surrendering, submitting, and agreeing to what God wants to do in your life. It’s letting God be God in your life. Let go, and let God.
I don’t know a phrase that will do more for your health physically or emotionally than this phrase. If you’ll begin to practice it in your life, it will relieve stress and eliminate worry. If you’ll let go and let God, it will defuse anger and end your hurt and resentment. Amen

As a Christian, I come under the truth of the Word and the necessity of prayer.
“Now I’m turning you over to God, our marvelous God who’s gracious Word can make you into what He wants you to be and give you everything you could possibly need in this community of holy friends.”Acts 20:32
5 Truths for our Work being our Worship
1. Belief in the reality of God who has spoken, making the word of God the basis of our understanding and action.
2. Therefore, operate by faith in the Word of God, knowing life in the workplace is just as spiritual as the time we spend in worship.
3. The result is, having confidence in God’s calling and His gifting’s, that makes work worth while and fulfilling.
4. So, God is glorified in the workplace.
5. Resulting in, success being measured by faithfulness to Christ, following him in obedience.
Nothing that happens on earth can ever change the Word of God.
“Heaven and earth will disappear, but My Words will never disappear”. Mark 13:31
5 Myths When Missing God as our Pilot
1. Belief in self – it is all about me!
2. Therefore, we operate from one’s limited perspective.
3. The result is, self-confidence with arrogance leading you.
4. So, the workplace centers on man’s achievements alone.
5. Resulting in, success being measured by pride in material wealth.
Proverbs 1:7 “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge.”
THE FEAR OF THE LORD . .
* Causes us to depart from evil, Prov. 3:7.
* Causes us to hate evil, Prov. 8:13.
* Prolongs our days, Prov. 10:27.
* Gives inspired confidence, Prov. 14:26.
* Affords great contentment, Prov. 15:16.
* Keeps the heart, Prov. 23:17.
* Strengthens us against unstable companions, Prov. 24:21.
Lord, Help me measure my success by letting my success be measured by faithfulness to Christ, following YOU in obedience. Thank You Jesus! Amen

Faith and Blessing go hand in hand, partnering in God’s plan for you.
*Faith always leads and blessing always follows.
We must be willing to obey God’s Will and do exactly what He asks us to do, no matter what we think or how we feel.
“Master,” Simon replied, “we worked hard all last night and didn’t catch a thing. But if you say so, I’ll let the nets down again.” Luke 5:5
The Lord is telling us that we cannot experience victory unless we go out further than we have never gone before.
*If we continually stay at the shallow side, we will continue to experience mediocrity, which is not God’s will for us.
We must take the first step and continue to walk on water, during this walking we will experience adversity and trials of many kinds, but we still must push until we reach our deep, where we will receive the Lord’s blessing.
*Have you ever felt tempted to look at your accomplishments with pride as if you were the reason for your success?
*Have you ever thought your prosperity was due to your ingenuity?
*Has your material success been a testimony to others that God is the ruler of all aspects of your life, even the material side?
Joseph’s greatest test was not his temptation to be bitter against his brothers.
*It wasn’t the sexual temptation that came inside Potiphar’s house.
*It wasn’t even the discouragement of years of imprisonment for being wrongfully accused.
**It was the temptation of prosperity and ownership. Once he was elevated, he was given choices that he never had before. It was totally up to him as to which choice he would make.
Stewardship reveals what we believe about God and ourselves.
Not every man can carry a full cup. Sudden elevation frequently leads to pride and a fall.
Keep pressing even though your efforts are met with opposition. The end result will be worth all of your energy to break through. Refuse to get discouraged or decide to just give up. The Lord is with you to bring you through to victory. Be strong and courageous.
Deuteronomy 31:6 “Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the LORD your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you.”
Heavenly Father teach me that I must go out into the deep with you, where I will experience you than like never before. .Amen
Christianity is not a religion it’s a relationship with Christ.

THE TRUTH WILL SET YOU FREE!
John 8:31-32: Jesus said, “If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
Distinguishing Healthy and Unhealthy Boundaries
Without a healthy role model, it can be difficult to know what healthy boundaries look like.
1. First, let’s cover what healthy boundaries are not.
- They are not threats or attempts to control or manipulate others into doing what you want.
- They are not rigid rules or “walls” designed to keep people out or shield you from expressing your emotions.
2.Healthy boundaries are simply a personal clarification of:
- what type of treatment is acceptable to you,
- and what consequences will result from violating a boundary.
*People with healthy boundaries share their thoughts and feelings, take care of their own needs, and are able to say no when necessary.
By contrast, people with weak boundaries:
• Sacrifice their personal values, plans or goals to please others
• Allow others to define who they are and make decisions for them
• Expect others to fulfill all their needs
• Feel guilty when they say no
• Hesitate to share their opinions or assert themselves if they are being treated unfairly
• Frequently feel used, threatened, victimized or mistreated by others
• Frequently offer unsolicited advice, or feel pressured to follow someone else advice
• Take responsibility for other people’s feelings
• Tell others how to think, feel or act
Before you can start setting boundaries, you have to recognize your right to have your own feelings, values and beliefs and to express to others how you want to be treated.
For some, this requires a BIG leap in self-worth. Knowing who you belong to.
You are God’s Masterpiece and He does not make mistakes. We need to choose whom we will serve and listen to.
Deuteronomy 19:14 “Do not move your neighbor’s boundary stone set up by your predecessors in the inheritance you receive in the land the Lord your God is giving you to possess.”
*When ever you cross another’s boundary line, any one has set, be it land or physical..look out–they have God behind them on this…you have no right.
Only you can know your own limits; only you can set boundaries that make sense for you. In the process, you’ll find your voice – not the one that bids you to use drugs and alcohol,(or any other sin) but the one that protects you from harm.
Lord, help me define my personal boundaries and help me not go beyond any other person’s boundaries out of respect of my fellow brothers and sisters. Amen
Read More“Then Moses raised his arm and struck the rock twice with his staff.” Numbers 20:11a
Will you fulfill “The Destiny God Has For Your Life”?
Perhaps you have never thought about it. God had a perfect plan for Moses to lead the people out of Egypt and into the Promised Land.
It’s been said the hardest place to score a touchdown is from the goal line.
You’re almost there. But there is something about crossing over that makes those last few yards the most difficult.
Moses failed at the goal line, and it prevented him from finishing well a glorious life of service for God.
The people of Israel were complaining that they did not have water to drink. It was another of many tests for Israel. Moses inquired of God and God said, “…Speak to that rock before their eyes and it will pour out its water” (Num. 20:8a).
Moses, in his frustration and anger with the people, began to act on his own and made a strategic mistake.
Instead of speaking to the rock, he struck the rock twice with his staff. In spite of his disobedience, the rock poured forth water.
God was calling Moses to a different dimension.
Moses was to use his words to speak the miracle. However, he not only lost his temper, but he also took credit and dishonored God.
He used his staff, the symbol of his work life as a shepherd, to force the provision.
When we become callous, we can use our skills and abilities to force what we believe should happen.
We take control. When we do this, we are in danger of failing to enter the Promised Land of blessing from God.
Living in life’s spiritual dimension requires patience and obedience.
Beware of solving problems in your own strength. God wants to bring you into the Promised Land of His blessing. But it will require walking in the spiritual dimension.
Isaiah 40:31 But those who wait on the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.
Thank You Jesus for being my Savior! Thank you for saving me and the knowledge and faith to Know I have Eternal Life with You. Thank you for your Word and promises that are Truth. Help me walk by them more and more each day and not listen to man’s way of doing things. Amen
Read More“The bows of the warriors are broken, but those who stumbled are armed with strength.” – 1 Samuel 2:4
There is an oxymoron throughout the Bible. It says that brokenness is strength.
How can this be? How can brokenness be strength?
In order to use men and women to their fullest extent, the Lord has to break His servants so that they might have a new kind of strength that is not human in origin. It is strength in spirit that is born only through brokenness.
- Paul was broken on the Damascus road.
- Peter was broken after Jesus was taken prisoner.
- Jacob was broken at Peniel.
- David was broken after his sin with Bathsheba.
- The list could go on of those the Lord had to break in different ways before they could be used in the Kingdom.
When we are broken, we see the frailty of human strength and come to grips with the reality that we can do nothing in our own strength.
Then, new strength emerges that God uses mightily. God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble.
Do not fear brokenness, for it may be the missing ingredient to a life that emerges with a new kind of strength and experience not known before.
Pray for a broken and contrite heart that God can bless.
Psalms 139: 23 Search me, O God, and know my heart;
test me and know my anxious thoughts.
24 Point out anything in me that offends you,
and lead me along the path of everlasting life. Amen
God is our friend, and He always will tell us the truth. Not only that, but He wants to reveal His secrets to us.
In Psalms 25:14 we read, “The secret of the Lord is with those who fear Him. . . .” God wants to speak to us.
In fact, Jesus said, “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me” (John 10:27).
Here Jesus compares us to sheep is not a compliment, by the way. Sheep are among the dumbest of all creatures.
Most animals, in many cases, will survive if released into the wild. They will learn to fend for themselves and make it. But a sheep released into the wild cannot survive.
Sheep have no survival skills whatsoever. They are totally dependent upon the shepherd – just like we are.
The sheep come to know that when the shepherd speaks they should follow because his plan for them is better than their plan for themselves.
It may be that one of the reasons we don’t know the will of God in certain areas is because we have not applied what is clearly the will of God for all areas.
Obedience to revealed truth guarantees guidance in matters unrevealed.
Establish yourself in strong faith by believing in Jesus and believing that He will reward those who seek Him. Every difficult situation that you encounter has the potential to strengthen your faith and provide a firm foundation for victory. Know that the Lord is with you to give you wisdom and bring you through. Only believe!
When you walk in My ways, says the LORD, you will set an example that others can follow if they want to live in peace and blessing. Those that live and walk in the Spirit are able to access everything that is available to them through faith. It is worth it to make the changes necessary to live in righteousness and always do good.
Psalms 37:3 Trust in the LORD, and do good; dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness.Amen
Read More2 Timothy 4:3 For a time is coming when people will no longer listen to sound and wholesome teaching. They will follow their own desires and will look for teachers who will tell them whatever their itching ears want to hear. 4 They will reject the truth and chase after myths.
*Imagine what your spiritual life would look like if you only asked WWJD? instead of what is everyone else doing?
“The lions may roar and growl, yet the teeth of the great lions are broken.” – Job 4:10
*When we buy into the enemy lie, we believe only what we have chosen to perceive to be true.
*It usually has no basis of truth.
Such was the case when Peter looked on the waters during a night boat journey with the other disciples. At first glance, he and the disciples screamed with fear, thinking that what they saw was a ghost. It was actually Jesus.
Follow Christ and the Truth shall be revealed to you. If you don’t follow Christ, someone else, the Devil, will sell you his Agenda.
“Know the Word for Yourself!!!”
* If you want to live in victory, you must give God’s Word a place of priority in your everyday life. How else will we know Truth VS Lie?
Satan’s name means “accuser.” He travels to and fro to accuse the brethren. He brings an impressive front to all he does, yet behind that front is a weak, toothless lion with a destination that has already been prepared in the great abyss. He knows his destination, but he wants to bring as many with him as possible; so he often has a big roar, but little bite.
The next time some event comes into your life that creates fear and trembling, first determine the source.
*Look past the emotions and evaluate the situation in light of God’s Word.
1John 4:4 But you belong to God, my dear children. You have already won a victory over those people, because the Spirit who lives in you is greater than the spirit who lives in the world. (We fight FROM Victory–not FOR Victory)
Lord, I want to fully integrate Your Word into my life. I don’t just want to hear someone tell me the Word once a week, I want to know it for myself. Lead me and give me ideas to pursue Your Word consistently. I pray these things in His name. Amen.

Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. Point out anything in me that offends you, and lead me along the path of everlasting life” Psalm 139:23-24.
The first step on the path to a clear conscience is to take a personal moral inventory or a personal spiritual assessment.
You need to sit down with God in a quiet space by yourself when you’re unhurried and say, “God, I’m going to do business with you. I’m going to make a list of anything that’s between you and me that’s wrong in my life. Help me to see the things that I know are wrong and the things that I don’t know are wrong.” Ask God to clear your mind and reveal your sins.
You can pray Psalm 139:23-24:“Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. Point out anything in me that offends you, and lead me along the path of everlasting life”. You’re saying, “God, turn your spotlight on my inner self. Find the stuff in me that’s entangled me and that’s holding me back.”
Write it all down. If you haven’t written it down, you haven’t really thought about it.
Let me ask you a very important question. How serious are you about wanting God’s blessing on your life?
- Enough that you’re willing to be gut-level honest?
- Are you willing to be honest with God? Are you willing to be honest with yourself?
- Are you willing to be honest with other people?
- Or are you just going to live in denial?
- Denial and God’s blessing do not go hand-in-hand.
If you’re serious, then you’re just a step away from liberation! You are one step away from a feeling of joy and purity that you’ve never experienced. You are so close to freedom from the habits and hurts and hang-ups that are messing up your life.
Don’t procrastinate. There is nothing more important in your life than to have the blessing of God. Take time today, get alone by yourself, and do a personal spiritual assessment. It will change your life!
Lord, Help me not to procrastinate any longer. I want the joy only You can give. Amen
Read MoreThe theme of God’s redemptive plan runs through the Bible from Genesis to Revelation.
At its heart is Calvary, the place where Jesus died so we could be forgiven and spend Eternity with Him.
As we read the Scriptures, we see that the cross symbolizes:
1. Salvation: Jesus bore our sins upon the cross and died in our place so we could be reconciled to God and receive eternal life.
2. Sacrifice: Christ, who was “in very nature God” (Philippians 2:6 niv), chose to leave the perfection of heaven and live among sinful people.
Laying aside His divine authority, He was born a helpless baby, completely dependent upon others.
During His public ministry, He faithfully carried out God’s plan all the way to His death on the cross.
Jesus’ days on earth are an example to us of the sacrificial life (Romans 12:1–2).
3. Service: Jesus said He “did not come to be served, but to serve and to give His life a ransom for many” (Mark 10:45).
Christ’s supreme act of service was dying on the cross so we might have eternal life.
Our Savior calls us to deny ourselves and follow Him through sacrificial service to others (Luke 9:23).
As we embrace a lifestyle of humility and servanthood, we will bring glory to our heavenly Father.
In our culture, success is based on achievement. We admire those who perform well in athletics, business, and the arts.
However, greatness in God’s kingdom is found in a life of obedience.
Hebrews 5:8 though He(Jesus) was a Son, yet He learned obedience by the things which He suffered.
*Are we following His plan and helping others as Jesus did?
*Have we shared with them the good news of Christ?
*Are we Praising the Lord Always?
* Scripture it’s our plumb line for everything we sense or perceive God saying to us.
*Let us show that we are his saints by praising his name continually.
God is not only our Creator, but our Redeemer; who made us a people near unto him.
May the Lord pardon us, and teach our hearts to love Him more and praise him better. In Jesus name I pray. Amen
Read MoreWhat makes an effective Christian leader today? Is it charisma? Is it ability? Is it communication and oratory skills?
God’s view of an effective leader has nothing to do with these qualities. They may be a part of an effective leader. However, the core attribute of a Christian leader is his integrity with God and his obedience to follow Him.
When this happens, God manifests His power in and through that leader.
Effective Leadership is to come under the Truth of the Word of God–resulting in our work being our worship and God getting the glory–resulting in success being measured by faithfulness to Christ, following Him in obedience.
The World would say:Effective Leadership is to Believe in self- so the workplace centers on man’s achievements alone–Resulting in, success being measured by pride in material wealth.
Moses was effective because he was willing to obey the commands God gave him. When Moses did this, God manifested His presence in him. The result was that people followed.
*They followed because they saw God working in and through the man.
*They saw that this man was worthy of following because God’s anointing was on him.
When people see the Lord’s power manifested in your life, they will have a healthy fear of the Lord.
They will look at you and say, “This person has something I don’t have that is worthy of more investigation.”
Your challenge is to seek the Lord with a whole heart, resulting in God’s power being manifested in the daily activities of your life.
If you’re not experiencing regular encounters with God, it’s time to ask why not.
*We don’t live day-to-day for the next spiritual experience, but we should see by-products of a life centered in God that is reflected in fruit from His presence in our lives. (Read Galatians 5:16-24 to see the difference between good and bad fruit)
One of humility’s dominant characteristics is a God-dependency and not a self-sufficiency.
The truth of humility being the key to greatness or success was not new.
Jesus gave this truth new meaning by walking in humility as no one ever had before. (Read Matthew 5 3-11 for Jesus Character which we so need ourselves)
Humility is trusting in God and not in ourselves.
*Pride is self-sufficiency and self-exaltation while humility is self-denial and dependence upon God.
*Pride is the only reason that strife comes (Prov. 13:10); so remember, humility is the key to walking in love with our brothers and sisters in the Lord.
Lord Continue to humble me daily that I may totally depend on You!!!!! Amen
See 1 Corinthians 4:6 on how not to be prideful!
Read MoreTwo wonderful absolutes.
1. The first absolute: GOD REALLY LOVES ME.
*God is not in the business of condemning His children, failures or not. He is a loving Father, wanting only to lift us out of our weaknesses.
*Sometimes we recognize His great love only when we hit bottom. You will have won a great victory if you can be convinced God loves you even in your wounded, crippled condition.
*Our strength is renewed by His everlasting love.
*Just rest in that wonderful love. Don’t panic. Deliverance will come.
2. The second absolute: IT IS MY FAITH THAT PLEASES HIM THE MOST!
“Without faith, it is impossible to please him” (Hebrews 11:6).
*God counts our trust as righteousness. “Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness”. (Romans 4:3).
**God sends us to conquer nations but the first battle we have to win is the one against ourselves.
*That’s when we get to know him and we build the foundations of our relationship with him! (JN 17:3)
Men often use God to achieve fortune, fame, honor and respect.
*Talent, personality and cleverness are used to advance God’s kingdom, but He is not impressed.
*His strength is perfected in our weakness, our inability to obey His
commandments in our own strength.
*God calls us to a life of holiness and separation.
*God tells us we can be free from the bondage of sin.
*God’s Word comes to us with some impossible challenges:
-“Resist the devil.
-Walk in the Spirit.
-Come out from among them.
-Love your enemies.
-Leave behind all your fears.
-Put down your lustful desires.
-Let no sin have dominion over you.”
God comes with such a comforting message:
-“Lay down your weapons.
-Quit trying to be so self–sufficient and strong.
-I am your weapon and your strength.
-Let Me do what you never can do.
-I will give you My righteousness,
-I will give you My holiness, My rest, My strength.
-You cannot save yourself or please Me in any way other than by receiving the blessings of the cross by faith.
–Let Me be in charge of your growth in holiness.”
Prayers
* Father take over the battle of my life and let your enemies be scattered in Jesus name Isaiah 41:14-16
* Father as we are gathered here, let your healing power flow to us in Jesus name. Luke 5:17
* I command every gate standing before me to be lifted up that the king of glory may come into my life. Psalm 24:7
* I have the Key of David… Father open to us doors of promotion, favour, opportunity, breakthroughs, healing, Fruitfulness, prosperity And close the doors of sickness, accidents, death, shame, failure, poverty, diseases, sorrow
*God, Your Word speaks hope and life to me. So I give You the praise, the honor, and the glory, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
Psalm 142:3–4 When my spirit grows faint within me, it is you who know my way. In the path where I walk men have hidden a snare for me. Look to my right and see; no one is concerned for me. I have no refuge; no one cares for my life.
I wonder whether you’ve ever felt like that: “No one cares about me. They don’t mind whether I live or whether I die. All I have is problems. I’m walking in a path and there are hidden snares on it. There are problems I don’t really understand and I don’t know how to solve. I can’t see any source of help. I look to the right, I look to the left. No one bothers about me. I’m just a speck of dust in the universe. I’m just a name on a list somewhere. There’s a birth certificate in some dusty office that relates that I was born, but no one cares.”
That’s not altogether true. There is someone who cares. There is someone who knows your way. That’s what the psalmist said, “When my spirit grows faint within me it is you who know my way.”
You may feel lonely, neglected, uncared for. You may not understand your own way, you may not know the problems that lie ahead, you may not have an answer to them all, but there is one who knows: it’s the Lord. He knows your way.
- He is with you;
- He will see you through if you will turn to Him in prayer.
- You are not forgotten, you are not neglected, you are not unwanted.
- He made you, He cares for you, He’s with you.
HOW DO YOU THINK JESUS SEES YOU?
- Ephesians 2:10: You are His Masterpiece.
- Psalms 139: He knit you together in your mothers womb.
- Ephesians 1:4: He knew you before the world was formed.
Jesus said that the greatest commandments are to love God wholeheartedly and to love others (Matt. 22:37-39). Ironically, it is only when we humbly serve others that we experience God’s fullness in our own lives.
Many try to achieve happiness by striving after their own desires. The result? Tired, unsatisfied people.
True contentment happens only when we walk closely with Jesus. He shows where we can humble ourselves and take care of others. These actions, done through His strength, will be blessed.
AMEN
