My Spiritual Identity

It’s important that we know who we are, so we can move forward strongly in our Faith.

When we understand fully who we are Spiritually, it will change our stance and outlook on situations we find ourselves in as well as our response.

Who am I, whose am I?

1. I am his workmanship. He created me for good works. Ephesians 2:10

2. I am a chosen generation. Ephesians 3:4-6

3. I am the righteousness of God. James 1:20

4. My body is a temple of God. It should not serve any ungodly activity.
1 Corinthians 3:16-17

5. I am complete in him. Romans 8:37

6. I am more than a conqueror. 1 John 4:4

7. I am adopted by the Lord. – I have the same rights and privileges as Lord Jesus. Isaiah 62:2-4, Ephesians 1:5-6, Romans 8:15-17

8. We are members of the body. Ephesians 5:30, Romans 12:4-5, 1 Corinthians 12:20

9. I am sealed with the Holy Spirit. Ephesians 1:13-17, John 6:63, Colossians 1:8,

10. I am of God. – I will never be depressed, etc. For he is in me is greater than he who is in the World. 2 Corinthians 2:1

11. I am a new creation. 2 Corinthians 5:17, Ephesians 2:1-9

12. We belong to Christ. Ephesians 1:6

15. I am an Ambassador of Christ. – We represent him at all times, work, school, college etc. So, do I represent him well?? 2 Corinthians 5:20

16. I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Psalms 139:14

17. I am a royal priest,God’s very own possession. 1 Peter 2:9

18. I am the head and NOT the tail. Deuteronomy 28:13

Acts 4:12: “Salvation is found in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved.”

“Jesus is my Lord,” He then acts conclusively. Through that confession God does something. No man can do it, but God can. He immediately brings about all that is wrapped up in this word, “saved.”

Your sins are forgiven. God imparts to you a standing of righteous worth in his sight. He gives you the Holy Spirit to live within you. He makes you a child in his family. He gives you an inheritance for eternity. You are joined to the body of Christ as members of the family of God.
You are given Jesus himself to live within you, and you will live a life entirely different than you lived before.

In 2016 God has shown Laura and I that He has not equally distributed gifts, talents or intelligence, but He has equally distributed Himself to all that want Him as their Savior. Our sense of worth comes from knowing who we are as children of God.

“See how great a love the Father has bestowed upon us, that we should be called children of God; and such we are” (1 John 3:1).

Hosea 6:1 Come, and let us return to the LORD; for He has torn, but He will heal us; He has stricken, but He will bind us up.

Today I reaffirm by confession that, “Jesus is Lord.”  Amen
