God IS Love
The moment we invite God to take control of our lives, God comes into our hearts. And God Himself is Love.
* “God is love, and the one who abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him.”1 John 4:16
*Worth is defined by value.
*Value is defined by the price someone will pay for something.
YOU Are so so worthy to God!(PS 139).
God gave it ALL for YOU! (JN 3:16).
God so valued YOU that he gave everything. You are worth the blood of Jesus. Believe in who you are in Christ.
But anyone who does not love does not know God, for God is love. 1 John 4:8.
God’s supernatural Love is not affected by the other person’s response, nor is it dependent upon circumstances.
*He makes everything beautiful in His time….and set Eternity in our hearts~
Ecclesiastes 3:11
“…and though you have not seen Him, you love Him, and though you do not see Him now, but believe in Him, you greatly rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory, obtaining as the outcome of your faith the salvation of your souls.” 1 Peter 1:8-9
People call you blessed not because of something you do, but because of something God chooses to do in you. When HE regards your humble state, you are blessed.
Luke 1:46 Mary responded, “Oh, how my soul praises the Lord. 47 How my spirit rejoices in God my Savior! 48 For he took notice of his lowly servant girl, and from now on all generations will call me blessed. 49 For the Mighty One is holy, and he has done great things for me. 50 He shows mercy from generation to generation to all who fear him.
Here, Mary makes a very clear distinction between her soul magnifying the Lord and her spirit rejoicing.
**Our soul is the part of us that is considered to be our personality. It is our intellect, emotions and will.
** Our spirit is the part that gets changed at salvation and it is always operating in “love, joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance” ( Gal. 5:22-23).
Moving forward requires change!!!
*We all have something about us that needs to be shifted.
God is committed to transforming and changing us. You cannot move forward until you change what needs to be changed.
It requires self examination and making changes.
If God is not challenging you to change then something is missing.
1. Change your thinking – pro 23:7. Your thinking drives the person that you are. 2. Change your attitude. Psalm 51:10 nasty means uncooperative… attitude. Create in me a clean heart. Ezk 36:26 – make me a person of compassion.
3. Change in your behaviour. 2 Cor 5:17 – God transforms you… He is so powerful He makes you a new creation. *There’s NO sin that is beyond the power of Christ to change. You who live in Christ He will make YOU a new creation. God has changed my behaviour.
God desires for you to move forward. But you are going to have to find out what you need to change to move forward. Don’t know what? Ask God, your spouse, parents or best friend.
*If you want to go where you want to go, you have to go where you have never been.
*In order for us to move forward, we have to do things we have never done.
The decision is yours !
Dt. 30:19 “Today I have given you the choice between life and death, between blessings and curses. Now I call on heaven and earth to witness the choice you make. Oh, that you would choose life, so that you and your descendants might live! 20 You can make this choice by loving the LORD your God, obeying him, and committing yourself firmly to him. This is the key to your life. And if you love and obey the LORD, you will live long in the land the LORD swore to give your ancestors Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.”
Today, choose to walk in the joy of the Lord
God’s Love is one-sided. God doesn’t say, “I’ll love you if you’ll love Me”. Instead He promises, “I’ll love you no matter what”!
* “…neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”Romans 8:38-39
Today treat every one in a way that they know you see past their sin and allow God to reach into peoples hearts.
God help me not to be so quick to judge and to see people the way you see them. God, You have shown me what love is like, by loving me first. Help me to follow the example of Jesus and live out all the facets of love in my day-to-day life. Thank You for Loving me. Amen
