Taste – God is Good

Love has no limits, and neither does forgiveness.

“Then Peter came and said to Him, ‘Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me and I forgive him? Up to seven times?’ Jesus said to Him, ‘I do not say to you, up to seven times, but up to seventy times seven.”
Matthew 18:21-22

****Taste and see that the LORD is good; blessed is the man who takes refuge in him. Psalm 34:8

Notice that first word, TASTE: “Taste and see that the Lord is good.”
First of all–we are endowed with five physical senses: sight, hearing, touch, smell and taste.

What is it that’s distinctive about the sense of taste over the other four senses?   I’ll tell you one distinctive feature of taste. First:
* If we See something, it’s external to us.
* If we Hear something, it’s external.
* If we Touch something, it’s still outside us.
* If we Smell something, it may be still far from us.
***But there’s one thing about Taste: when we TASTE something, we take it right INTO us and it becomes PART of us.
I believe that’s why the Lord challenges us to “Taste and see.”
* Don’t let the Lord remain external.  *Don’t let Him remain something outside of you.
Paul says in the New Testament, “Christ IN you, the hope of glory.”

You’ll never really have that hope of glory until:
*You’ve actually tasted of the Lord,
* Till you’ve taken Him within you.
** And then you’ll know for sure He is good.

*Not because the preacher says it, not because the radio evangelist declares it, but because you’ve proved it in your Experience, you’ve Tasted, you’ve Invited the Lord to come in and be an integral part of your life.
And when you do that, you’ll know He’s good.

Do not get stuck in thinking that you have only one gift or that you have one specific purpose from which you will not deviate.
*The result of this thinking is that you will put yourself in a religious box.

When you are filled with the Holy Spirit, you have Jesus complete with His gifts and fruit, and yours is only to yield to His moving.
Versatility is in order.  You must make yourself available to be used in a variety of ways and to become adaptable to various situations and circumstances according to the moving of the Holy Spirit. Diversity is the key part to victory.

Acts 2:38 Then Peter said to them, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.”

*Taste and see that the LORD is good!
*Feelings come and go but we must believe in the word of God.
* Jesus Christ died for Your sins.
* God raised Jesus up for YOU.
*The meaning of conversion
Repent and be converted (Turn around) Acts 3:19.
Has God turned you around?

Remember, Satan’s plans are to keep you in bondage and keep you from God’s Will. But let us remember Revelation 20:10…Satan has already lost!
We Fight from Victory not for Victory.
1 John 4:4 You are from God, little children, and have conquered them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.

Your past does not determine your future!
Sometimes failure is what is needed in order to move us to the next level of faith with God. However, we must be willing to fail and let God rescue us.

The Lord delights in this process. His motive for His children is always love. It is always to bring us to a NEW Level of Trust and Dependence on Him.

GOD is the protector of our souls- there is nothing or nobody I put my trust in more than My God.
Lets continue to build our relationship with our Father in heaven.
There is no greater protection for us and our family than the almighty power of Jesus.
Lord thank you for all of the times you have saved me from the valley, have beheaded dragons and held my family and me in your loving arms.  I want to know YOU more and more and to be able to realize and share the truly awesome gift of Your love.  Help me Taste and see that you are good; and takes refuge in YOU knowing how I will be blessed.
” Dear friends, let us love one another, because love is from God, and everyone who loves has been fathered by God and knows God.  The person who does not love does not know God, because GOD IS LOVE.  By this the love of God is revealed in us: that God has sent his one and only Son into the world so that we may live through him.  In this is love: not that we have loved God, BUT that he loved us and sent his Son to be the atoning sacrifice for our sins.
Dear friends, if God so loved us, then we also ought to love one another”. (1John 4:7-11) I love you!!! AMEN!!!
