Do We Trust Daily?

Disobedience Rooted in Fear

“Then Moses said to them, ‘No one is to keep any of it until morning.'” – Exodus 16:19

Have you ever seen God do something really good in your life only to find that you have Abused the Blessing He gave you?  Family, Friends, Children, resources, Peace, Saftey, Purpose, Freedom.  I have!

Such was the case of the Israelites as they were traveling through the desert on their way to the Promised Land.
God was providing for them in miraculous ways.
*Manna was provided each day as their bread.
*God gave Moses specific instructions as to how this manna was to be eaten.
* God said each one was to gather only what he needed for that day. No one was to keep it until the next morning.

*God was teaching the Israelites to Trust Him each day, to be their Faithful provider.
*Sure, God could have given them manna once a month, but then the Israelites would not have had to depend on God on a daily basis, to meet their needs.
*It really comes down to a matter of trust.

“However, some of them paid no attention to Moses; they kept part of it until morning, but it was full of maggots and began to smell. So Moses was angry with them” (Ex. 16:20).
***God was teaching the Israelites daily TRUST in His provision for them. He wanted them to TRUST Him one day at a time.
*If they tried to Hoard, God put a self-destruct feature in the manna.
* Yet God also told them to gather two days’ worth on the sixth day so that they would have manna to eat on the seventh day.
* Interestingly, this manna did not stink or have maggots.

For many years I use to gather manna in business out of FEAR of not having enough.
One day, the Lord decided that manna should be destroyed in order for ME to learn TOTAL TRUST in His provision.

When we operate out of FEAR, we can expect the Lord to lovingly discipline us in order to help us Learn to TRUST Him.

There is a danger when we seek to “insure ourselves” against calamity.

**If your actions are born from fear, you can expect God to demonstrate His loving reproof so that you might not live in fear.

*God can miraculously provide for our needs. He provided quails and manna for the Israelites. If He did it for them, He can do it for us.
** The question is: are we spiritually mature enough to trust God instead of complain about our situation?
If YOU choose to trust God, it would make YOUR life easier and YOU will be an Example for the people around you.  *Will you trust or complain?
*We are taught to pray, “give us this day our daily bread”, but do we really trust that God will honor His promises to us? Are there any actions we’ve taken that have demonstrated our lack of trust in God? If so, confess them today and trust that today will be “Cloudy with a Promise of Bread”.

So what do we do? Do what the Israelites did…everyday get out of bed, go outside and pick up God’s blessing! You can’t keep the OLD stuff forever. Lamentations 3:22 & 23 says ”The faithful love of the Lord never ends! His mercies never cease. Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning.

God is waiting for you to come to Him. Seek Him out, get a fresh word and a fresh blessing. Quit relying on the old stuff to suffice because it won’t.

I hear the sound of the trumpet of the Master calling to those who are His to come up higher.
This is the way, says the Lord; come up to your God.
*This is the way–reach out to Him who is able to empower you with the authority of His word.
* This is the way of victory.
* This is the way of prosperity.
*This is the way to understand the kingdom of God.
*This is the way to truth, to effervescent life and to the glory of your God.
*This is the way of faith.
Let your faith arise now for you to become who you are called to be.
The Lord IS calling you into faith; into life; into joy; into peace; OUT of sickness into health; OUT of poverty into prosperity.

Rise up to the high places in the Spirit, and see what the Lord will show you.  Listen for HIS voice and hear, acknowledge and understand what He is speaking.  Repeat only what He gives you to share.
You Must not add to or take anything from the revelation that you receive, for Precision and Purity are the prerequisites for His messengers.

Proverbs 30:6 Do not add to His words, lest He rebuke you, and you be found a LIAR.
Faith and works go hand in hand. A Christian is one whom Christ uses to carry out His work on earth. Therefore, serving God is more than just something we do; working for the Lord also defines who we are.
Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not rely on your own understanding.
Lord help me Trust and Obey daily Amen
