Treasures Into Darkness

What we perceive as dark periods in our lives are designed to be treasures from God. They are actually riches stored in secret places if we look to Jesus and spend Time with Him to KNOW HIM.

** Darkness is the time to Listen.
Once you hear Him, God gives you the gift of humiliation, which brings a softness of heart.

“I will give you the treasures of darkness, riches stored in secret places, so that you may know that I am the Lord, the God of Israel, who summons you by name.” – Isaiah 45:3

It took a long while for me to understand the concept of “treasures of darkness”. I thought,
* How can it be a good thing that I have left a life of relative comfort and have no secure income or means of providing for myself and family?(I Praise God for my wife Laura and her encouragement and Faith in “God will provide”).
* How can the darkness be a treasure? It became a treasure when we realized that we had nothing to worry about.
*We see God always requires total trust in Him alone for our victories in life.
*Laura and I had no need that was not met, and we are getting to know our Heavenly Father through the guidance of His Holy Spirit in ways we never before thought possible. Yes our life style has changed-but for the good.
* Truth is, there is always treasures in the darkness, secret riches.

And Jesus, our Father who loves us allows the dark times to occur to draw us into a more fulfilling relationship with Him for His Purpose and Glory.
*I have learned that in some of these dark times God will give a very precious message for someone else once I’m back into the light.
*When in a dark spot it is not study that brings understanding to me–BUT Obedience to the Lord. God’s truths seem to be sealed until they are opened to us through obedience/Action. We can’t open them through philosophy or thinking.
JN 7: 16 Jesus answered, “My teaching is not my own. It comes from the one who sent me. 17 Anyone who Chooses to do the will of God will find out whether my teaching comes from God or whether I speak on my own. 18 Whoever speaks on their own does so to gain personal glory, but he who seeks the glory of the one who sent him is a man of truth;

Thank you Jesus for giving us an abundant life. A life where you are our light in the dark. A life in which you are truly enough.

Ecclesiastes 3:11 He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end.

What we perceive as dark periods in our lives are designed to be treasures from God. They are actually riches stored in secret places.
*We cannot SEE those times in this light because of the often-accompanying pain or fear that prevents us from Accepting these TIMES as treasures.

Dark periods have a particular purpose from God’s viewpoint: “…so that you may know that I am the Lord…who summons you by name.”

Matthew 6:25 “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes?

You see, unless we are cast into times in which we are completely at God’s mercy for breakthroughs in our lives, we will never experience God’s faithfulness in those areas.
* We will never know how Personal He is, or that He can be Trusted to meet the deepest needs in our lives.
* God wants each of us to know that we are “summoned by name.”
* Every hair of our head is numbered. *He knows every activity we are involved in.
* His love for you and me knows no bounds.
*** He will take every opportunity to demonstrate this to us.
Eph. 5:8 For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light 9 (for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness and truth) 10 and find out what pleases the Lord. 11 Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them.

Has God brought you into a place of darkness? Trust Him today to reveal that hidden treasure that can be found in this darkness. Let Him summon you by name.

JN 1:5 The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.

“They that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength” and in the midst of all the pressure, God blesses His people with peace. Peace does not depend upon external circumstances. It depends on a Personal Relationship to the Lord.
Psalms 107:14 He brought them out of darkness, the utter darkness, and broke away their chains.

***As we learn to love God, He makes
us an open, cleansed vessel so He
can love others through us.

1JN 1: 5 This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all. 6 If we claim to have fellowship with him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live out the truth. 7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.

*Walk in the light Saints of God, because He is the light of the world.
*Holy spirit. Show us the things in our life that we must change, and give us strength to do so.
“My goal is that they may be encouraged in heart and united in love, so that they may have the full riches of complete understanding, in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely, CHRIST,  in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge”.( Col. 2:2-3)

KEY *Allow Jesus to touch your heart and HEAL the “Wounds of Rejection”, past and present.
* Release and forgive those who have been unkind and step into the fullness of the Lord’s  acceptance of you.  There is so much LIGHT!

Father, I worship you. I come and acknowledge my need. I ask for the presence of the Holy Spirit to come and help me. I choose mercy over judgement. I want to give gifts of forgiveness to those who hurt me and those who don’t deserve it. I want to defeat the enemy and take away his
Legal right to harm me. I release all to you Lord.  In Jesus’ name, Amen
