Part 2 of the Next Level Leader
Part 2 of Next Level Leader.
The definition of a Next-Level Leader is this-
A leader that not only elevates their personal leadership to the next level, but also elevates the leadership of their team members, family, peers, and competition to the next level.
They simply challenge and encourage those around them to dream BIG, think BIGGER.
Need a Functional Future:
1. Be useful – be of value or use to someone else. 2 Timothy 2:21,
2 Timothy 4:11. “I will be useful to someone besides myself.”
2. Be operational – be ready for use.
1 Corinthians 3:10. “I will not be conflicted with my call. I’m ready right now.”
3. Be well-designed.
1 Corinthians 12:25. Every part matters. “I will walk in my predestined pattern. I will learn & live the letter. I am the spokesperson for red-letter living!”
4. Be practical – the actual doing or use of something.
*I will no longer dream only.
*I will develop what I saw in my dream.
*I will turn every God given idea into a functional reality.
*I will approach situation with realistic expectations that came from the word of God.
*I will approach every problem with a divine sensibility.
* I am practical.”
5. Be serviceable – be durable instead of attractive.
*I will be of good use.
* I will use the word as the light to my path. God will be pleased with my performance.
*I will be durable,
*I will last.
* I will outlast every trial, its either the trial or me.
*Pain is good-it shows me where there is a problem. God’s truth will always show us to the way of Freedom from the pain.
*I will be open to multiple spiritual downloads.”
*I Will Choose God’s way.
“I(Saul) was afraid of the people and so I gave in to them” (1 Sam. 15:24b). Saul’s fear and insecurity made him more afraid of the people and what they thought than of God. At the core of Saul’s disobedience was fear of losing control. That fear of losing control led to partial obedience and the loss of his reign as king.
*How many of us are in danger of losing God’s blessing due to partial obedience? *How many of us have such a need to control instead of LEAD people and circumstances that we fail to fully walk in obedience to God’s voice in our lives? Saul provides a great lesson for us as believers.
*The need to over control things around us can prevent us from receiving all that God has for us.
Ask God if you are being fully obedient to what He has called you to do this day, and avoid being put on the shelf for disobedience.
“To obey is better than sacrifice, and to heed is better than the fat of rams” (1 Sam. 15:22b)
6. Be handy – be skillful.
1 Chronicles 28:21. “I will not wait for someone to teach me. I will find knowledge myself but also remain teachable. I will use my natural skill set and spiritual skill set to advance the kingdom. I will marry my call to my craft to advance the kingdom. I will remain ready to serve the kingdom. Just say the word.
7. Be efficient
Be well organized and most competent. Ephesians 4:13. “I will be efficient in my response to Gods assignment. I will respond quickly. I will be fully developed within and without. I will manage my resources and time to Gods will, not mine. I will have maximum productivity and minimum waste.”
8. Be purposeful
Be intentional, on purpose.
2 Corinthians 10:8 So even if I boast somewhat freely about the authority the Lord gave us for building you up rather than tearing you down, I will not be ashamed of it.
I will be focused and deliberate in everything I do. I intend to be fully functional. I intend to not be stuck, to keep my sanity, to not lose my cool. I intend to forgive. I will be successful on purpose. I will do great things and it will not be by accident, but a gift from God for His Glory.
9. Be in Prayer continuously
The moment we think that our act of praying or not praying contributes to God’s being for us, it is self-righteousness.
Christ died for my sins in shorthand for “The only way to have God 100% on my side is to receive and rest in—as a gift—who Christ is and what he has done for me, and not who I am and what I did for him.” That’s the heart of the gospel . . .
*Live your life for what God wants and nobody else!
*Put the Lord first in everything you do and don’t let anyone get in the way of him!
*Don’t doubt yourself look forward to what will happen!
*Know that God will hear your prayers and he will answer your prayers.
Notice he says there is only one message in Acts 20:
V 21: I have had one message for Jews and Greeks alike—the necessity of repenting from sin and turning to God, and of having faith in our Lord Jesus.
This is our task as Leading people to make the life changing decision to turn from their way to THE WAY – and then having faith in Christ to continue following him.
How to get God’s Attention
Ask God to
Incline our hearts to him, not to money or fame or power (Psalm 119:36),
and to
Open our eyes to see wonderful things in his Word (Psalm 119:18),
and to
Unite our hearts in the fear of God rather than let them be fragmented over a dozen concerns (Psalm 86:11),
and to
Satisfy us with his steadfast love (Psalm 90:14).
I believe firmly that the moment our hearts are emptied of pride and selfishness and ambition and everything that is contrary to God’s law,the Holy Spirit will fill every corner of our hearts. But if we are full of pride and conceit and ambition and the world, there is no room for the Spirit of God. We must be emptied before we can be filled. D.L. Moody
Lord, thank you for Your 66 books in the Bible. Thank you that Every part of Scripture is God-breathed and useful one way or another-showing us truth, exposing our rebellion, correcting our mistakes, training us to live YOUR way. Thank You Lord that Through the Word we are put together and shaped up for the tasks You have for each one of us.
JN 16: 13 But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. 14 He will glorify me because it is from me that he will receive what he will make known to you.
Amen
