Ever Feel Lost or Lonely?
Whenever we feel lost, alone, or even abandoned, God is with us. As we look around at our churches, our schools, our families and our friends, we see that many of us are dying from lack of love. “And because lawlessness is increased, most people’s love will grow cold.” Matthew 24:12 Isaiah 43:1 But now, this is what the lord says— he who created you, Jacob, he who formed you, Israel: “Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine. We all have a desire to belong. To fit in. To just be important to someone.
*God already claimed you.
*God made sure that the ransom has been paid so you can be freed from the burden of sin and a life filled with darkness.
*Jesus died on the cross for your ownership to change.
* God called you by your name. No longer do you walk this earth just another number in the line. You are God’s!
**This make’s you a prince, a princess in His kingdom!!!! ** You can enter His courts with praise on your lips.
**You can walk through the earth knowing that you are loved and wanted.
**You can enjoy an intimate relationship with The One who loved you so much that He would rather die than to let you go. John 14:18 I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.
*Whenever we feel lost, alone, or even abandoned, God is with us. We may not always feel His presence or see His works, but He is always leaving us breadcrumbs back to Himself.
* Things we always need to keep in front of us in our minds.
1. God is good.
*Matthew 7:7″Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. 8 For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.
2. God is all powerful.
*Psalm 115:3 Our God is in heaven; he does whatever pleases him. Col. 1:16 For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him.
3. God is all-knowing.
*Hebrews 4:13 Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account. We can hide nothing from God. Everything is crystal clear in his sight, thoughts, attitudes & beliefs. Why we think we can fool God is beyond comprehension. We can’t hide from Him.
4. God is holy.
Ex. 3:14 God said to Moses, “I am who I am. This is what you are to say to the Israelites: ‘I am has sent me to you.'” The name God discloses to Moses here rings throughout the pages of Scripture, as well as the pages of time. No beginning, no end, the Self-Existent One. The one true God, beside Him there is no other.
5. God is Eternal.
Psalms 102:12 But you, lord, sit enthroned forever; your renown endures through all generations. 27But you remain the same, and your years will never end. 6. Bad things happen. God is fair and Just. Proverbs 8:13 To fear the lord is to hate evil; I hate pride and arrogance, evil behavior and perverse speech.
*** God does not punish his children- He prepares them! -Romans 8:28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.
*** Crucifixion leads to resurrection. 2 Corinthians 6:18 And, “I will be a Father to you, and you will be my sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty.”
*What is distinctive about the people of God is that God lives IN us and among us powerfully. It may be such a basic thing that it is easily missed. It’s a basic characteristic of God’s people, but how amazingly shocking is it?! God lives among His people. As Paul wrote, WE are A temple of the living God! Isaiah 58:9 Then you will call, and the lord will answer; you will cry for help, and he will say: Here am I…..
*Are not these words exactly what Jesus commands?! God gives us our instructions here in Isaiah. Jesus tells us to feed the hungry, clothe the naked, visit the shut in, and help those in need. These are powerful marching orders…..This is what We are to do to model Jesus. God help me to do your Will, to see the need, and to love your people more than myself. Amen Isaiah 43:4 Since you are precious and honored in my sight, and because I love you, I will give people in exchange for you, nations in exchange for your life. 5 Do not be afraid, for I am with you;..
*If only one prayer of mine was answered, it would be that this scripture would go from my head and completely consumes my heart. How I wish I could see myself more as God sees me. Colossians 2:10 and in Christ you have been brought to fullness. He is the head over every power and authority. Psalms 40:17 But as for me, I am poor and needy; may the Lord think of me. You are my help and my deliverer; you are my God, do not delay. Thank you Lord for rescuing me. My enemies surround me, but if I cry out and trust in You, I have nothing to fear! Ask God to give you a vision for how you can be salt to your world today. Jesus desires to replace all of our hearts with His heart. He wants us to be like Him. Why? Because He is alive and lives in us. Romans 8:15 For you have not received a spirit of slavery leading to fear again, but you have received a spirit of adoption as sons by which we cry out, “Abba! Father!” 16 The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are children of God, I pray for us to have that same confidence, for the Holy Spirit to bring faith to move beyond loneliness, fear and doubt when things are bad in our lives. When the enemy seems to be surrounding us — may we believe in our God’s protection and His salvation for He is ALIVE, He is our mighty Fortress and strong Deliverer. God will either deliver us or be our support as we through our troubles and loneliness. In His care, we are never helpless never alone! Thank you Lord!
*Our identity must be built solely upon God’s Love for us, and not on what we do for Him. 2 JN 1: 6 And this is love: that we walk in obedience to his commands. As you have heard from the beginning, his command is that you walk in love. Dear God, guard my mind from the pull of this world. Help me to be consistently and personally involved in reading Your word and understanding the life I have in Jesus Christ. Guide my every thought that it may not be affected by the vanity, pride, politics, intellectual-arrogant-temporary- subjective wisdom of this broken world. Keep me away from the man-made lists that are formed to get your attention. Help me to see your substance alone as I strive to live according to Your Word. Psalms 37:24 though he may stumble, he will not fall, for the lord upholds him with his hand. 2 Thessalonians 2:16 May our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father, who loved us and by his grace gave us eternal encouragement and good hope, 17 encourage your hearts and strengthen you in every good deed and word. Romans 5:8 But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. In Jesus Name, THANK. YOU. Amen
